How it works
Paradise Pedals Hawaii offers a unique cycling experience on a 15-passenger bike, currently accommodating up to 6 people due to Covid-19 restrictions. Participants can enjoy this group activity while exploring Honolulu's vibrant arts and warehouse district, Kaka'ako. The bike is led by a driver who manages the route and plays music chosen by the group, adding a fun soundtrack to the journey. As the bike navigates through the area, riders are encouraged to pedal together, enhancing coordination and interaction.
The company provides two main themed tours: the Beer Lover's Tour and the Street Art Tour. On the Beer Lover's Tour, participants visit local breweries in Kaka'ako, spending 30 to 45 minutes at each location to sample craft beers or cocktails and appetizers. The Street Art Tour takes participants on a leisurely ride through Kaka'ako's renowned art scene, highlighting popular murals from the POW! WOW! festival. This tour merges physical activity with cultural exploration as participants view and discuss impactful street art installations.

Our Review
Updated
Our first impression of Paradise Pedals Hawaii is that it offers an engaging blend of physical activity and cultural exploration, making it a versatile option for team building. The concept of cycling together on a 15-passenger bike, even with current restrictions limiting the group size to six, presents a unique opportunity for teams to enhance their coordination and communication skills. The added element of music chosen by the group creates a personalized and lively atmosphere, which can be particularly appealing to creative teams looking to spark inspiration through a change of scenery.
One thing to keep in mind is that this activity might be better suited for small to medium-sized teams due to the current capacity limits. Established teams may find the Beer Lover's Tour an excellent way to bond over shared interests at local breweries, while newer teams might appreciate the Street Art Tour's focus on cultural discovery and conversation starters. However, analytical teams might not find as much value in these tours unless they are open to stepping outside their usual comfort zones. Additionally, while the experience promises fun and interaction, it's important for participants to be comfortable with physical activity and outdoor conditions in Honolulu's climate. Overall, Paradise Pedals Hawaii offers a refreshing take on team building by combining exercise with exploration in a vibrant setting.
