How it works
Portal Adventures offers an engaging experience where groups can immerse themselves in escape room challenges that last 60 minutes. Each escape room is designed with a unique storyline and custom set design, providing participants with the opportunity to explore multiple large rooms as they progress. Depending on the chosen adventure, participants might find themselves on a mission to steal ancient treasure, pilot a spaceship, or bring an outlaw to justice. The rooms are filled with puzzles that require clue hunting, riddle deciphering, and mechanical problem-solving skills. Completing these challenges requires clever thinking and cooperation among team members.
The Portal Lounge adds another layer of enjoyment with its escape room-themed atmosphere. Visitors can relax in a space that features custom-designed props from various adventures and indulge in cocktails inspired by the escape experiences. Additionally, a selection of card and board games is available for those who wish to continue the fun in a more laid-back setting. This combination of challenging adventures and a themed lounge makes the company an appealing choice for groups looking to strengthen their collaboration skills while having fun together.

Our Review
Updated
Our first impression of Portal Adventures in Beaverton is that it offers a dynamic blend of challenge and relaxation, ideal for teams looking to enhance their collaboration skills. The escape rooms are thoughtfully designed with unique storylines and intricate set designs, providing an immersive experience that encourages participants to engage in clue hunting, riddle solving, and mechanical problem-solving. This makes it a great fit for creative and analytical teams who thrive on mental challenges. The need for clever thinking and cooperation also means that these activities can be particularly beneficial for new teams looking to build rapport or established teams aiming to refine their collaborative dynamics.
One thing to keep in mind is that while the escape games are well-suited for small to medium-sized groups due to the nature of the puzzles, larger groups might find themselves split across different adventures, which could dilute the team-building experience. Additionally, after an intense session of puzzle-solving, the Portal Lounge offers a perfect setting for unwinding with its themed cocktails and selection of board games. This relaxed environment can be especially appealing for teams wanting a mix of high-energy activities followed by leisurely bonding time. However, it's worth noting that this setup might not appeal as much to those seeking purely high-octane experiences without downtime. Overall, Portal Adventures provides a balanced approach to team building with its combination of challenging escapades and casual socializing opportunities.
