How it works
Rose City Rollers is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting roller derby as a sport for women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals. Since its founding in 2004, the company has been a part of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association. The organization focuses on creating an inclusive environment where participants can develop skills on the track and build confidence in everyday life. By offering training programs and competitive opportunities, the company fosters personal growth and teamwork among its members.
In addition to athletic development, Rose City Rollers emphasizes community connection and empowerment. The team hosts events and activities that encourage collaboration and camaraderie among participants. These gatherings provide a chance for individuals to bond over shared experiences while working towards common goals. Through roller derby, members find a supportive network that values diversity and personal strength.

Our Review
Updated
Our first impression of Rose City Rollers is that it offers a unique and dynamic team-building experience centered around the sport of roller derby. This organization stands out for its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, making it an excellent choice for teams looking to foster a sense of community and personal growth. The emphasis on skill development and confidence-building can be particularly beneficial for new teams or those seeking to strengthen interpersonal connections. Additionally, the competitive aspect of roller derby provides an exciting platform for teams to challenge themselves and each other in a supportive environment.
One thing to keep in mind is that Rose City Rollers might not be the best fit for every team. For instance, highly analytical teams or those with members who may be less inclined towards physical activities might find this experience less appealing. However, creative teams or those looking to break away from conventional team-building activities could find great value in the unique challenges and camaraderie that roller derby offers. While the focus on inclusivity and community connection is commendable, larger groups may need to consider logistical aspects such as space availability and participant engagement during events. Overall, Rose City Rollers provides a refreshing alternative for teams eager to embrace diversity and personal strength through sport.
