Paisley and Paris were fantastic moderators. This was a relatively fun team building activity because everyone could realistically participate, whether puzzles were their thing or not.

What a swell time!

Our team at Chronos LLC, a remote veterinary support company, did the 1920s Speakeasy experience for one of our virtual team events, and it was genuinely so much fun! The puzzles were creative and varied, and I especially loved that they incorporated so many different styles of clues and challenges throughout the experience. It kept us thinking, collaborating, laughing, and completely invested from beginning to end.

Angelica and Paisley were positively swell the kind of hosts who would’ve been right at home at the Krazy Kat! They both deserve a special shout-out because they added so much to the experience.

Angelica was our main spokesperson and was an absolute delight to talk to. She kept everything fun, engaging, and moving along while still making the experience feel relaxed and personal. While we were waiting for some of the other teams to submit their answers, I even got the chance to chat with her about the 1920s. I loved that! Even our downtime somehow stayed connected to the theme, and those little interactions made the experience feel much more personal than simply logging into another virtual event.

Paisley was fantastic behind the scenes! She was incredibly quick at keeping everything connected, adding our clues and research as we uncovered them, and keeping track of everything happening across the game. There was clearly a lot going on behind the curtain, but from our side it felt seamless. Angelica and Paisley made a fantastic team.

I also tend to get very excited about puzzles and escape rooms and can admittedly be a little all over the place once we’re in the middle of solving something. Which can definitely be overwhelming.
They were both incredibly patient, welcoming, and good-humored about my enthusiasm, which made the experience even more enjoyable!

This was also an excellent virtual team-building activity. It was competitive enough to keep everyone invested, but still lighthearted and collaborative, and there were enough different types of puzzles that everyone had opportunities to contribute. For a remote team especially, finding an activity that actually gets people talking, laughing, problem-solving, and working together can be difficult this absolutely delivered.

The whole experience was truly the bee’s knees! It was clever, interactive, well organized, immersive, and just plain fun. Angelica and Paisley deserve recognition for how well they ran everything and for making our evening feel special. If their management happens to read this: you have two gems on your hands!

I would happily do another experience with them.
I also work with other organizations, including in the mental health field and at a university, where we organize team and group events as well. I enjoyed this experience enough that I’ll absolutely be recommending the company to both of them for future events. If you’re looking for something different for a remote team, staff event, or group that wants to actually interact rather than sit through another virtual meeting, I would definitely put this on your list.

10/10 — the cat’s pajamas! Angelica and Paisley, you two were swell. Highly recommend!

Grant was an amazing host, very entertaining. He kept us moving forward at a good pace. Overall activity was well designed, the puzzles have a good level of difficulty too. Having a large enough group for separate teams adds a little bit of competition, making it extra fun. Thanks for a great time!

Our presenter Angelica was very engaging, and I appreciated that she told us the backstory of her organization/team. I felt I came away from the workshop with a framework for storytelling that I can immediately use. Maybe one thing I would have liked would be an exercise for us to explore how we would use this in our actual work (like a self-directed exploration). I also think the heavy participation requirements of this workshop can (and did) scare folks away and caused them to drop from the call. Folks often have the expectation they can multitask during something like this, so making the participation requirements clear beforehand is important.

Literally 1000/10! As the organizer of this retreat, I just have to say, this was hands down the best retreat we’ve had so far I’ve organized quite a few retreats, and the feedback I received about both the Art of Storytelling and Espionage was beyond anything I could have imagined.

Dwight and Leighton were absolutely phenomenal! They brought the exact energy we needed to get a room full of policy analysts and researchers out of their comfort zones, laughing, interacting, and actually connecting.

What really says it all is that people who have been with our organization for 10+ years are already calling this one of the best retreats we’ve ever had. And I have to give a huge part of that credit to TeamBuilding.com.

Thank you for helping bring our team together and creating such a fun, memorable experience. If you're a company looking to plan something that’s actually fun and gets people engaged, definitely choose TeamBuilding.com. You will not regret it!

As a professional Yeti who spends most of my time hiding in the mountains, I can confidently say Kari put together an outstanding challenge! She created an experience that was energetic, interactive, and welcoming for adventurers of all skill levels. Whether participants wanted to dive headfirst into the puzzles or contribute at their own pace, everyone had a chance to join the hunt.

I was especially impressed by how engaged the team stayed. The puzzles made everyone think, collaborate, and laugh along the way. Before I knew it, the time had flown by, and my hiding spots were no longer safe!

Five snowflakes out of five.

Thanks, Kari, for making the Yeti chase so much fun. I'll have to find an even better hiding place next time!

This event was so much fun!!! Loved the storyline, loved the puzzles, loved that Yorick (alas, poor Yorick! I knew him well) was able to give us hints that were helpful but not too obvious nor too obscure. And our host BRIT was fantastic! Excellent character acting, and especially appreciated how Brit caught onto the vibe of our team and had Yorick mirroring our slang back to us - been a while since a disembodied voice represented by an illustrated skull called me diva! My team and I had a great time and I'd absolutely do another Vortex event in the future.
