In this seminar dedicated to women's history and inclusion, attendees will acquire an understanding of gender-based microaggressions and how to correct mistakes in language. They will engage in an intersectionality exercise that enhances appreciation of the diverse identities and intersections that shape our individual experiences. This seminar is intended for organizations that want to infuse gender equity, and inclusion into daily interactions with coworkers and customers. We will cover: -Women's History with Trivia -Progress while recognizing issues faced today -Intersectionality through a reflective exercise -Privilege (gender-based) understood through a personal lens -Discernment between the pursuit of equity and equality

    Demonstration of alignment with organization's mission (we can share your company's mission or ERG inclusive statement).
  2. History
    10 minutes
    Learn about pivotal moments in history and the important figures whose stories are less commonly told.
  3. Privilege
    10 minutes
    Understand the nuances of gender privilege through a personal, reflective exercise.
  4. Unconscious Bias
    10 minutes
    Recognize unconscious biases through interactive prompts.
  5. Microaggressions
    10 minutes
    Learn to spot microaggressions and understand the impact behind words and choices for inclusive language instead.
  6. Inclusion in Action
    10 minutes
    Gain tools for simple, everyday ways to practice allyship.
  7. Q&A
    5 minutes
    Anonymous questions can be asked using Slido, and the facilitator will respond verbally to the group.
