How it works

2,700 years ago, Homer wrote the epic poem The Odyssey. In the summer of 2026 this epic poem becomes a Hollywood blockbuster, and more importantly, a collaborative teambuilding event of epic proportions. In this 90 minute event, your team takes on the role of Odysseus during his tumultuous ten year journey home from Troy to Ithaca. 

To conquer the sea, your team must master the art of collaboration. Your team members will face a series of interactive puzzles, mental challenges, and strategic games designed to test and sharpen core communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

To maximize networking and engagement, the host will mix and rotate the teams into new crews for every single challenge. By the time the voyage ends, every guest will have collaborated with the vast majority of their coworkers.

  1. Welcome & Intro
    15 minutes
    At the start of the event, our professional host will welcome each guest and give an exciting preview of the 90 minute journey the team has in store. The host establishes the team's quest to return safely home to Ithaca and foreshadows some of the many beasts they may encounter along the way. The introduction also serves as a helpful quick reminder of the context of Homer’s The Odyssey.
  2. Collaborative Challenges
    75 minutes
    The team has to work together effectively in order to battle the cyclops, escape sirens and lotus eaters, and face the challenges Odysseus conquered on his epic 10 year journey home. Each monster is represented by a collaborative puzzle, challenge or game designed to practice important communication and teamwork skills. In order to maximize interaction, the host mixes the group into a new groups of colleagues every breakout session. By the end of the event, each guest will have collaborated with the vast majority of their coworkers to reach the celebratory final goal of returning home to Ithaca.
  3. Wrap Up
    10 minutes
    Your host will celebrate the team’s accomplishments, bring the group together one more time to reflect on the fun, and capture a team photo to commemorate the occasion.
