Once Upon a Time...

In 2013, we started Museum Hack, leading unconventional tours of the best museums for thousands of happy tourists, first-dates, friend groups and more. Celebrities like Emilia Clarke, Tony Hawk and Lin-Manuel Miranda toured with us too. This venture organically grew to include team building events for companies like Google, Johnson & Johnson, and Chipotle. In 2016 we launched Team Building Hero, the origin of our marketplace and flagship experiences like The Great Guac Off and Gingerbread Wars.

In 2020, we rebranded as teambuilding.com, which rapidly expanded with virtual team building events during Covid. Popular virtual events include Online Office Games, tiny campfire, Murder in Ancient Egypt, Virtual Holiday Party and Ultimate Game Show. During the height of the pandemic, we helped sustain morale and connections for tens of thousands of newly remote teams, including companies like Apple, Netflix, and Spotify, as well as government agencies in the US, Canada and globally, such as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NASA, and the US Air Force.

We call our collection of in-person and virtual experiences "Originals", which are led by our expert host team. To date, we have hosted 45,000+ teambuilding.com Originals events for 1,000,000+ participants, earning 83,000+ reviews with an average rating of 4.96 / 5.0 across Google and our verified ratings platform, with a Net Promoter Score of +88 from event organizers. In a 12-month survey of 3,855 teambuilding.com clients, 97.64% said the overall experience met or exceeded expectations — the most common response: "Far above expectations!"

Our experiences have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Economist. In 2021, the Inc. 5000 listed teambuilding.com as the #1 fastest growing private B2B company in America and #15 overall.

Along the way, we learned exactly what makes a team building experience successful, and we have helped hundreds of thousands of teams find the best team building activity for their goals and preferences. Now, our site organizes that expertise in an easy to discover way.

Core Values

We apply these principles to hiring, product development, customer service, and how we show up for each other every day.

01

Level 10 Integrity

We make every decision, action, and belief through honest effort, good intentions, and high moral and ethical standards. You can trust us to do what we say we will do. Always.

In practice that looks like transparent pricing, reviews tied to real bookings, and honest recommendations — even when the best answer for your team isn't the best answer for our bottom line.

02

Get Sh*t Done [Right]

We operate with a premium mentality, and while speed matters, so does doing things right.

Hundreds of small details go into a great event, and we own every one of them — fast responses, tight logistics, and follow-through you never have to chase.

03

Defy Expectations

We take a fresh approach to everything we do. Get ready to be surprised, delighted, and to have the most fun you've ever had at work!

From unexpected icebreakers to hosts who read the room like pros, we design moments your team will still be talking about months later.

04

Got Your Back

Your success is our success. We make intentional choices to support our clients, team members, and communities professionally and personally.

When plans change, headcounts shift, or the unexpected happens, we handle it — so the person who booked the event always looks good.

05

Level Up

We constantly strive for improvements. You will see us tackling challenges, making our client, participant, and employee experiences better, and learning from feedback to level up.

Every event ends with feedback, and every piece of feedback makes the next one better — for your team and the thousands of teams after it.
