About Wonder Out Loud

Hi there! I’m Kelly, the founder and workshop facilitator at Wonder Out Loud. I started this company with the mission of helping people learn to appreciate the world around them. I aim to inspire awe and ideas and laughter, all while providing transferable skills backed by scientific research that can enhance any team’s creativity, communication strategies, and general well-being.

Currently, I offer in-person workshops anywhere in the U.S. for a wide range of group sizes (including conferences!), and I offer virtual events for remote teams.

I’m a passionate advocate for curiosity and wonder, and I absolutely practice what I preach: I have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, a B.S. in audio technology, and most importantly, have a chihuahua. I teach science communication (remotely) at Pratt Institute, host monthly lectures for Atlas Obscura members, play harp, lead museum scavenger hunts, and I have a steady stream of temporary obsessions that I’ve turned into a podcast.

Also, I have over ten years of experience facilitating teambuilding events and workshops at teambuilding.com, where I’ve worked with clients such as Google, Etsy, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Western Australian Museums, and the NYC Parks Department, to name a few. I look forward to adding you to the list!
