How it works

Explore how curiosity can sharpen leadership thinking in this science-based exploratory workshop led by Dr. Kelly Reidy. Get leaders out of autopilot!  "The Power of Curiosity for Leaders" is an interactive, science-based workshop designed to help leaders bring curiosity into everyday leadership moments—from decision-making and problem solving to conversations with their teams. Curiosity can help leaders approach challenges with fresh perspective, examine assumptions, and ask the kinds of questions that open new possibilities.

This interactive workshop is led by Ph.D. scientist Kelly Reidy, who is likely one of the most curious people you'll ever meet. Kelly teaches science communication at Pratt Institute, hosts monthly lectures for Atlas Obscura members, plays harp, leads museum scavenger hunts for Museum Hack, and has a steady stream of temporary obsessions, thanks to always following her curiosity. Kelly has over ten years of experience facilitating team building events and workshops at teambuilding.com, having worked with clients such as Google, Etsy, Capital One, Charles Schwab, Western Australian Museums, and the NYC Parks Department.

"The Power of Curiosity for Leaders" workshop is grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology, and productivity research.

Through a blend of discussion, collaborative activities, and practical tools, participants will explore how curiosity can support leadership by:
• Bringing fresh perspective to challenges and decisions
• Examining assumptions that shape leadership thinking
• Opening new possibilities through thoughtful questions

Participants will also practice practical curiosity skills, including:
• Asking questions that uncover new perspectives and insights
• Challenging assumptions and reframing familiar problems
• Using curiosity as a tool for reflection, learning, and thoughtful leadership

Ideal for leadership teams, managers, directors, and emerging leaders, "The Power of Curiosity for Leaders" is a thoughtful and engaging workshop for groups who want to refresh their thinking, strengthen conversations within their teams, and explore how curiosity can enrich everyday leadership.
